Strong Winds Expected Through Tonight.
East winds will strengthen to 25 to 30 mph late this afternoon into this evening, with some gusts up to 40 mph possible. The strongest winds are expected from late this afternoon through the early overnight hours. Unsecured objects may be blown around. Motorists of high profile vehicles may experience some difficulty tonight due to the strong winds, especially on north to south oriented roads.
Flood Watch Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)
Indiana Target Area: Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Pulaski and Starke Counties.
The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Watch for the Tippecanoe River near Ora affecting Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Pulaski and Starke Counties.
Widespread heavy rainfall last night of 0.75 to 1.25 inches was causing rises on many rivers and was bringing the potential for river flooding. Additional rainfall today through Sunday of 1.00 to 2.50 inches is likely to cause river flooding on several rivers. Therefore, river flood watches have been issued.

*At 9 AM Saturday the stage was 9.0 feet and steady.
*Flooding is possible.
*Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
*Forecast...If current precipitation forecasts hold...The river may rise to near 12.6 feet Tuesday afternoon.

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Watch for the Eel River at North Manchester affecting Cass, Kosciusko, Miami, Wabash and Whitley Counties.
Widespread heavy rainfall last night of 0.75 to 1.25 inches was causing rises on many rivers and was bringing the potential for river flooding. Additional rainfall today through Sunday of 1.00 to 2.50 inches is likely to cause river flooding on several rivers. Therefore, river flood watches have been issued.

A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT SOUTHERN ELKHART, FULTON, KOSCIUSKO AND SOUTHERN MARSHALL COUNTIES.
At 646 PM EDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Plymouth to 7 miles east of Winamac. Movement was northeast at 60 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph and dime size hail are possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include: Goshen, Warsaw, Plymouth, Nappanee, Rochester, Winona Lake, Syracuse, Bourbon, Argos, Milford, Culver, Akron, North Webster, Pierceton, Mentone, Millersburg, New Paris, Benton, Walnut and Tippecanoe.

A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL AFFECT WHITE, FULTON, PULASKI, CASS, SOUTHEASTERN STARKE AND SOUTHERN MARSHALL COUNTIES.
At 611 PM EDT/511 PM CDT/, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles south of Knox to 8 miles northeast of Atkinson. Movement was northeast at 60 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph and dime size hail are possible with these storms.
Locations impacted include: Logansport, Plymouth, Rochester, Monticello, Winamac, Bourbon, Monon, North Judson, Argos, Brookston, Culver, Walton, Wolcott, Francesville, Royal Center, Lincoln, Pulaski, Walnut, Tippecanoe and Oak Grove and Interstate 65 between mile markers 185 and 198.

A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN FULTON, EASTERN PULASKI, SOUTHEASTERN STARKE AND MARSHALL COUNTIES.
At 211 PM EDT/111 PM CDT/, a strong thunderstorm was located over Culver, or 12 miles northeast of Winamac, moving northeast at 50 mph. There was also a second storm near Ripley moving northeast. Winds in excess of 40 mph and dime size hail are possible with this storm.
Locations impacted include: Plymouth, Winamac, Bourbon, Argos, Culver, Pulaski, Walnut, Tippecanoe, Rochester, Ripley, Monterey, Leiters Ford, Beardstown, Denham, Hibbard, Delong, Old Tip Town, Lake Bruce, Tiosa, Talma and Twin Lakes.

Snow this evening can result in areas of slippery travel and reduced visibility of a half miles at times. Total snowfall of 1 to 3 inches can be expected, with amounts of 2 to 4 inches in the counties of Blackford, Grant, and Jay. There can be some accumulation on roadways. Motorists should reduce their speed and increase their following distance. Snow will exit the area near midnight.

AREAS OF FOG OVERNIGHT WITH PATCHY DENSE FOG POSSIBLE
Fog will continue to develop through the overnight hours, with some patchy dense fog also expected. Visibility may drop to less than one quarter of a mile in the denser fog patches overnight, and the coverage of dense fog may expand. Motorists should be prepared for rapid changes in visibilities across short distances. Allow extra distance between the vehicle ahead of you and use low beam headlights.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT EDT /11 PM CDT/ FRIDAY NIGHT TO 9 AM EDT /8 AM CDT/ SATURDAY MORNING.
*WHAT: Mixed precipitation expected. Total wet snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of up to two tenths of an inch are expected.
*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana, mainly south of highway 30.
*WHEN: From midnight EDT /11 PM CDT/ tonight to 9 AM EDT /8 AM CDT/ Saturday.
