Indiana Target Area: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Marshall, Miami, Pulaski, Starke, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley Counties.

 

 **Patchy dense fog overnight**

Visibility will occasionally dip below a quarter of a mile overnight over northern Indiana into far northwest Ohio. Conditions should tend to improve toward daybreak as heavy rains and widely scattered storms move into the area. If you are traveling, be alert for rapidly changing conditions. Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

 

Flood Warning Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Pulaski and Starke Counties.

 

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Warning for the Tippecanoe River near Ora affecting Fulton, Kosciusko, Marshall, Pulaski and Starke Counties. This is in effect until Tuesday Morning.

 

****HAZARDOUS WEATHER****

*Recent rainfall has led to rises on area rivers. 

*At 5 PM Sunday the stage was 12.0 feet and steady. Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

****IMPACTS****

*Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.  

*Forecast: The river will fall below flood stage around 7 AM Monday January 23. 

*At 12.0 feet...The river is at flood stage...significant lowland and rural flooding begins.

 

Instructions: Never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to NOAA Weather Radio or local media for further statements and updated forecasts. **Patchy dense fog possible late this evening**

The combination of clear to partly cloudy skies and plenty of moisture has allowed for patchy fog to form across portions of north central and northwest Indiana this evening. Patches of dense fog are possible through midnight. Fog is expected to expand in coverage during the overnight hours with areas of dense fog also becoming more likely. Motorists should be prepared for areas of dense fog tonight and be alert to rapid changes in visibility across short distances.

Instructions: The Dense Fog Advisory is still in effect from 1:00 AM Sunday to 10 AM Sunday.

*AREAS OF DENSE FOG WILL DEVELOP THIS EVENING AND CONTINUE INTO EARLY MONDAY MORNING. VISIBILITY WILL BE REDUCED TO ONE QUARTER OF A MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.

*DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS DUE TO REDUCED VISIBILITY.
