Indiana Target Area: Allen, De Kalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, La Porte, Lagrange, Marshall, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Steuben and Whitley Counties.

 

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 45 IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 AM EST. 

 

****HAZARDOUS WEATHER****

*High winds and quarter size hail are accompanying these storms. Can't rule out the possibility of tornadoes being with these storms too.

****IMPACTS****

*Outdoor furniture needs to be taken indoors or secured to the ground, as with the high winds things will be blown around.

 

Special Weather Statement Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Fulton, Kosciusko and Marshall Counties.

 

A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTH CENTRAL FULTON, CENTRAL KOSCIUSKO AND SOUTHEASTERN MARSHALL COUNTIES. 

At 608 PM EST, a strong thunderstorm was located near Rochester, moving northeast at 65 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are possible with this storm. This storm will be near; Mentone around 615 PM EST; Warsaw and Winona Lake around 630 PM EST and North Webster around 640 PM EST. Other locations impacted by this storm include Etna Green, Big Barbee Lake, Ridinger Lake, Monoquet, Hoffman Lake, Leesburg, Atwood, Irish Lake, Tippecanoe and Lake Wawasee.

Dense Fog Advisory Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Adams, Blackford, Cass, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Miami, Pulaski, Wabash, Wells and White Counties.

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Dense Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 9 AM EST /8 AM CST/ this morning. 

***HAZARDOUS WEATHER***

*Areas of dense fog over central portions of Indiana and Ohio are expected to spread slowly north early this morning resulting in significant reductions in visibility in the advisory area by dawn. 

***IMPACTS***

*Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility.

Instructions: A Dense Fog Advisory means visibility will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving...slow down... use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.

****GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS THIS AFTERNOON AND EVENING****

Winds from the northwest will gust in the 30 to 40 mph range late this afternoon and into the early evening. The strongest gusts are expected from 3 PM EST /2 PM CST/ to 8 PM EST /7 PM CST/. 

Instructions: Driving in a high profile vehicle may be difficult during this time. A few isolated limbs may also be downed. Outdoor items should be secured.
