SCATTERED INTENSE SNOW SHOWERS THIS EVENING.

Scattered snow showers will continue through late this evening before diminishing. Periods of heavier snow bursts with these snow showers will result in brief significantly reduced visibility, temporarily reduced to less than one half of a mile at times. Snow accumulations will generally be one to ten tenths of an inch, although localized spots that receive repeated snow showers may receive up to a half inch of snow. The combination of a dusting of snow accumulation with the snow showers and rapid fluctuations in visibility will create hazardous travel conditions through mid to late evening. After midnight, most of the snow showers should transition to lake effect across northwest Indiana and southwest lower Michigan. Motorists should use extreme caution tonight and tomorrow morning.
