Winter Storm Watch Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, De Kalb, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Miami, Pulaski, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley Counties.

 

WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THIS EVENING THROUGH LATE
WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

*WHAT: Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 8 inches possible.

*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

*WHEN: From Tuesday evening through Wednesday night.

*IMPACTS: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes and also extend into Thursday.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Travel is also likely to be greatly hampered by late Wednesday as snowfall increases and winds become gusty causing blowing and drifting snow.

*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan.

*WHEN: From Tuesday evening through Wednesday night.

*IMPACTS: Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes and also extend into Thursday.

Indiana Target Area: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, De Kalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, Lagrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley Counties.

 

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST /NOON CST/ THIS AFTERNOON.

*WHAT: Snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch.

*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan, and northwest Ohio.

*WHEN: Until 1 PM EST /noon CST/ this afternoon.

*IMPACTS: Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute.

*ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Light snow and patchy freezing drizzle will continue through the morning commute. Periods of moderate snow will be possible through mid to late morning before tapering off. Falling temperatures will begin to limit the melting of the snow on roads.
