The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Warning for The Tippecanoe River near Ora from Sunday evening until further notice.

*At 12 PM Thursday the stage was 7.7 feet and steady.

*Moderate flooding is forecast.

*Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

*Forecast: The river will rise above flood stage Sunday night and crest near 13.7 feet around 7 AM Tuesday January 14. Additional rises are possible thereafter.

*At 14.0 feet: Extensive flooding of residences and low lying areas begins.

*This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.4 feet which occurred on Jun 15, 2013.

*At 12 PM Thursday the stage was 4.7 feet and falling.

*Minor flooding is forecast.

*Flood stage is 14.0 feet.

*Forecast: The river will rise above flood stage Saturday evening and crest near 17.7 feet around 7 AM Sunday January 12 and fall below flood stage around 3 AM Monday January 13.

*At 17.0 feet: Some low lying areas and lowest sections of Wabash and Lagro begin to flood.

*At 1 PM Thursday the stage was 5.2 feet and steady.

*Major flooding is forecast.

*Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

*Forecast: The river will rise above flood stage Sunday afternoon and crest near 15.0 feet around 1 PM Monday January 13 and fall below flood stage around 11 PM Tuesday January 14.

*At 15.0 feet: Flooding begins of commercial property along Laporte and Garro Streets.

*This crest compares to a previous crest of 14.7 feet which occurred on Mar 12, 2009.

*Major flooding is forecast.

*Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

*Forecast: The river will rise above flood stage Saturday afternoon and crest near 16.8 feet around 1 PM Sunday January 12 and fall below flood stage around 5 AM Tuesday January 14.

*At 17.0 feet: Near-record flood. South Mill Street and Riverside Road flooded.

*This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.5 feet which occurred on Apr 19 2013.
