AT 4:33 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A STRONG THUNDERSTORM NEAR KNOX...MOVING EAST AT 25 MPH. ONE HALF INCH DIAMETER HAIL, WINDS GREATER THAN 40 MPH, FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND BRIEF MODERATE DOWNPOURS ARE POSSIBLE WITH THIS STORM.

INDIANA LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM INCLUDE: KNOX, CULVER, BASS LAKE, WINONA, OBER, AND OAK GROVE.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED AN URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY UNTIL 215 AM EDT/115 AM CDT/.

*AT 1008 PM EDT/908 PM CDT/ NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE ACROSS AREAS THAT HAD ALREADY RECEIVED 1 TO 3 INCHES OF RAINFALL SUNDAY EVENING. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL RATES OF 1 TO 1.5 INCHES PER HOUR OVER THE ALREADY SATURATED GROUND MAY LEAD TO EXCESSIVE PONDING OF WATER IN LOW LYING AREAS AND ROADWAYS.

Instructions: EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM THESE STORMS WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL CREEKS, STREAMS, HIGHWAYS AND UNDERPASSES. ADDITIONALLY COUNTRY ROADS AND FARMLANDS ALONG THE BANKS OF CREEKS AND STREAMS AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS ARE SUBJECT TO FLOODING. DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO CROSS SAFELY. MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND. BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING. IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED ACT QUICKLY. MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS. AT 840 PM EDT, NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 11 MILES NORTH OF WABASH TO SWAYZEE TO 18 MILES SOUTHWEST OF SWAYZEE, MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH. PEA SIZE HAIL, WINDS UP TO 50 MPH, FREQUENT CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING AND BRIEF HEAVY DOWNPOURS ARE ALL POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.

INDIANA LOCATIONS IN THE PATH OF THESE STORMS INCLUDE: MARION, GAS CITY, FAIRMOUNT, UPLAND, HARTFORD CITY, LA FONTAINE, JONESBORO, AND THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 69 IN INDIANA BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 254 AND 279.
