Indiana Target Area: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, De Kalb, Elkhart, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, La Porte, Lagrange, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, White, and Whitley Counties.

 

FROST ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ TO 9 AM EDT /8 AM CDT/ SATURDAY...

*WHAT: Temperatures have the potential to fall as low as 35 degrees and this will result in frost formation.

*WHERE: Portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio.

*WHEN: From 2 AM EDT /1 AM CDT/ to 9 AM EDT /8 AM CDT/ Saturday.

*IMPACTS: Frost could kill sensitive outdoor vegetation if left uncovered.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Fulton and Marshall Counties.

 

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northcentral Fulton County in Northcentral Indiana and Southeastern Marshall County in Northcentral Indiana, Until 11:15 PM EDT.

*At 1051 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Argos, or 9
miles northwest of Rochester, moving northeast at 25 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

*Locations impacted include: Bourbon, Argos, Walnut, Tippecanoe, Old Tip Town, Tiosa and Inwood.

The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for: Southeastern Elkhart County in North Central Indiana, Southwestern Noble County in Northeastern Indiana, Northwestern Whitley County in Northeastern Indiana, Northeastern Kosciusko County in North Central Indiana.

*Until 715 PM EDT.

*At 633 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Ligonier, moving south at 10 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

*Locations impacted include: Warsaw, Ligonier, Syracuse, North Webster, Etna, Cromwell, Little Chapman Lake, Oswego, Big Barbee Lake, Ridinger Lake, Wilmot, James Lake, Irish Lake, Goose Lake, Knapp Lake, Loon Lake, Ormas, Sechrist Lake, Big Chapman Lake and Lake Wawasee.

Indiana Target Area: Cass, Elkhart, Fulton, Kosciusko, La Porte, Marshall, Miami, Pulaski, St. Joseph, Starke, Wabash, and White Counties.

 

DESTRUCTIVE LINE OF STORMS ARRIVING LATE THIS AFTERNOON.

A line of storms with a history of producing wind gusts between 70 and 100 mph is tracking through northwest Illinois. This line will move into northwest Indiana and southwest Lower Michigan near 5 PM EDT.

 

Instructions: Secure outdoor items. Ensure you can receive watches and warnings. If a warning is issued, seek shelter in a sturdy building.
