Special Weather Statement Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Cass, Fulton, Miami, Pulaski, and White Counties.

 

Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of eastern White, Pulaski, Fulton, Cass and northwestern Miami Counties through 500 PM EDT.

At 435 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles east of Medaryville to near Monticello. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated.

 

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Strong thunderstorms will be near Winamac at around 445 PM EDT. Other locations in the path of these storms include Logansport.

MAX HAIL SIZE...0.00 IN. MAX WIND GUST...40 MPH

 

Instructions: If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
