WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ SATURDAY TO 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ SUNDAY.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ SATURDAY TO 7 AM EST /6 AM CST/ SUNDAY.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER...
* SNOW...1 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW ACCUMULATION. MOST OF THE SNOW ACCUMULATION SATURDAY AFTERNOON INTO SATURDAY NIGHT WILL BE DUE TO LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS.

* BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...WHILE ONLY LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE FORECAST...NORTHWEST WINDS GUSTING AS HIGH AS 35 TO 40 MPH WILL RESULT IN SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW AND REDUCED VISIBILITY.

* BITTER COLD: WIND CHILLS WILL DROP INTO THE 10 BELOW TO 20 BELOW RANGE SATURDAY NIGHT.

IMPACTS...
* VISIBILITY WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW.

* BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW WILL RESULT IN HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS.
