Indiana Target Area: Cass County.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN CASS COUNTY IN NORTH CENTRAL INDIANA UNTIL 1015 PM EDT TONIGHT(6/15/2015).

AT 708 PM EDT DOPPLER RADAR AND AUTOMATED RAIN GAUGES INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO THUNDERSTORMS. THIS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA. UP TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAVE ALREADY FALLEN.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE GRISSOM AFB, WALTON, LINCOLN, GALVESTON, ONWARD AND DEACON.

Instructions: MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE, TURN AROUND AND DONT DROWN.
