Winter Weather Advisory Issued by NWS NorthernIndiana (Northern Indiana and Northeastern Ohio)

Indiana Target Area: Adams, Allen, Blackford, Cass, De Kalb, Fulton, Grant, Huntington, Jay, Kosciusko, La Porte, Marshall, Miami, Noble, Starke, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley Counties.

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NORTHERN INDIANA HAS ISSUED A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY, WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM 8 PM EST /7 PM CST/ THIS EVENING TO NOON EST /11 AM CST/ TUESDAY. 

***HAZARDOUS WEATHER*** 

*LIGHT SNOW WILL CONTINUE TO DEVELOP INTO THE EARLY EVENING AND THEN BECOME MODERATE TO HEAVY AT TIMES OVERNIGHT INTO EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. 

*STORM TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...1 TO 3 INCHES. 

*NORTHWEST WINDS WILL INCREASE LATE TONIGHT TO BETWEEN 20 AND 30 MPH AND CONTINUE INTO TUESDAY. THIS WILL CREATE BLOWING AND DRIFTING OF THE POWDERY SNOW. 

***IMPACTS*** 

*ROADS WILL BECOME SNOW COVERED AND HAZARDOUS TONIGHT. DRIVING MAY BECOME DIFFICULT, ESPECIALLY LATE TONIGHT INTO TUESDAY MORNING. 

*REDUCED VISIBILITY DUE TO FALLING AND BLOWING SNOW.

Instructions: A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITY, AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
